I realize that that's a lot to attribute to a podcast that often dissects topics like the merits of self-tanner vs. spray tans, or which funny viral TikToks hit hardest this week. But therein lies its genius, and the reason that they’ve amassed the huge, loyal community that they have. Nowadays, the mother of one (she has a sweet daughter named Madeline) has pivoted to copywriting and content strategy for brands such as American Express, Celsius, Nectar, and Nutrafol. In 2019, she welcomed her first child, Dean, and little brother Cole joined the family in March 2022.
Our licensed, skilled multidisciplinary team at Hannah’s House includes:
This spiritual and emotional release can better equip them for success as daughters, partners, mothers, and friends as they move towards a sober, chemical-free lifestyle.
Our Team
If you or a loved one has a problem with alcohol or drugs, our experienced team will respond quickly and can help determine if Hannah’s House is the right treatment resource for you. Once you call, you will work with your personal Admissions Specialist throughout the entire process — from first call to arrival onsite. Without a woman’s active participation, there’s no progress on the path to sobriety, even in the best trauma-informed setting. Experiential activities such as problem-solving games, teamwork, improvisation, and other tangible actions are necessary to inspire women to get involved in their recovery on a physical level. Under the supervision of expert physicians, compassionate nurses, gifted therapists, and hand-picked support staff, we provide a refuge for healing that empowers each woman to reconnect with her authentic self. Recovery at Hannah’s House is easily accessible from Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, Fort Worth, and Austin, we provide unsurpassed care with some of the highest staff to patient ratios in Texas.
GIRLS CLUB
We find proven clinical recovery interventions through an integrated approach that helps each woman recover her authentic self. Researchers have known for some time that men and women are different when it comes to addiction. Sadly, women are less likely to seek treatment than men and typically face more barriers to getting the help they need when they do reach out. But the family failed to launch an appeal within the six week time limit, meaning the building was ordered to be demolished by February 7. The officer said based on the information available the police "deduced" the remains were Hannah’s. A senior police officer told Newsday the police did not release the information as the results could not conclusively prove the remains were Hannah's.

Everything we do at Hannah’s House — from medical care to individual therapy — is for this purpose. Mental, emotional, and physical health are intrinsically connected and must be treated at the same time, in the same place, by the same team. Our therapists provide cutting-edge care for recovery from interventions for PTSD and trauma to cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Women stay in our program for varying lengths of time, depending on their needs and how they progress through treatment. Our women’s addiction treatment center provides care that looks at every dimension of wellbeing, taking into account every woman’s past and the reasons that she has arrived at our doorstep.
POST-TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDERS (PTSD):
A couple of weeks after giving birth to Dean, Ashley had surgery to remove skin cancer on her back. While on the show, Mya had quit her restaurant consulting job to pursue her cookie business full time. Jordan's decision to stop being a full-time cast member came of his own accord when he left the Hamptons partway through Season 4. While he wasn't on our TV screens full-time for long, he still has a special relationship with the camera, working as a writer and director under his own company, Leoni Pictures. As Chance the Rapper once said, "Summer friends don't stay" and, as the cast of Grease added, "It turned colder, that's where it ends." The housewas the home to four provosts until it was badly damaged in the Loma PrietaEarthquake of 1989.
Gender-Separate Inpatient Rehab
We assess each patient for wellness through psychotherapy and personal discussions. Beginning with a thorough assessment of behavioral and mental health issues, we provide a detailed plan for care that includes modalities for improved health and wellness. Our team leverages evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to kickstart the brain’s healing process. Through group and individual sessions, we help each woman work through traumatic experiences as well as family and relationship issues. By combining advanced clinical interventions with rigorous medical services, we can treat the body, mind, and spirit holistically. Sara is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with extensive experience working with individuals of all ages who have experienced traumas that include child abuse and human trafficking.
They work tirelessly to help each patient identify their barriers to behavioral recovery and develop coping strategies for total health and wellbeing. Our clinical team is passionate about helping women and their families recover from addiction because we know there is a solution. Hannah’s House understands that addiction is a disease that affects the whole family. That’s why family members are involved in the treatment process from the time of admission and included well into their loved one’s recovery and plans for discharge. Our rigorous assessment process and therapeutic approach to traumatic experiences provides valuable insight into thought patterns and co-occurring disorders that may impact a person’s potential for sustained recovery. Since we provide residential treatment for women, our patients are given the space and time to work through these issues and begin healing.

Gia Shares What a "Perfect Day" Looks Like with Her Dad
"I am SO in love with Dean and beyond grateful to have a healthy baby. But this has been the hardest adjustment of my life. Three personality disorders common among women with addiction include borderline personality disorder (BPD), narcissistic personality disorder, and histrionic personality disorder. Other examples are paranoid personality disorder, schizoid personality disorder, avoidant personality disorder, and dependent personality disorder. When a woman experiences uncontrollable thoughts, obsessions, or behaviors she feels the urge to repeat, OCD can be an issue.
Being in recovery herself, Raquel offers her patients first-hand experience and valuable personal insight into battling addiction and alcoholism. Before joining the Origins team, she was a casework assistant for CPS in Kerrville, TX, and a program coordinator for a women’s detox and recovery community in Dallas, Texas. Our medical and clinical professionals facilitate a lasting change in the body, mind and spirit of each woman we treat.
We work diligently to serve an ever growing number of young ladies who are identified as at-risk or sex trafficking victims. Our one year program has transformed the lives of women suffering from addiction. Read all about some of our amazing women and their journey towards a better life thanks to Hannah's House. We promote and protect patients’ rights by strictly upholding federal, state and agency regulations regarding addiction treatment and health care privacy. At Hannah’s House, we know that addiction and alcoholism are family diseases that can affect the entire family system.
This 6 week Power Over Predators program teaches about protecting themselves online from predators, how valued they are, consent & who they can turn to for times in need. After the program is completed, our girls get the opportunity to join our weekly mentoring programs. Founded in 2013 by Pastor Patti Hostetler, we started our first mentoring group at CHOICES High School in the spring of 2015.
She loves helping women advocate for themselves and become empowered by using recovery tools to remain sober and change their lives. In her newest role at Hannah’s House, Sara looks forward to providing the most significant positive impact available to patients and their families. Our multidisciplinary approach to treatment provides every woman with a diverse team of clinical and medical professionals skilled at treating addictive illness and dual diagnoses effectively. Coexisting problems such as anxiety and depression are treated at the same time as addiction issues to optimize each patient’s success. We place every woman at the center of an expert treatment team ready to meet her medical, clinical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
Since then we have grown to include young ladies ranging from 6th through 12th grade. We accept referrals from schools, Stark County Family Court along with other crisis intervention agencies in the community. Prior to COVID19 we were active in 9 schools throughout Stark and Carroll counties. Currently the focus is our small groups that meet on Tuesday after school in Carrollton, Tuesday evenings in Canton, and Thursday afternoon Anchor program. We also have a team mentors who meet 1 to 1 with their mentee on a weekly basis.
Patients in our women’s program are equipped with the tools they need to accept and internalize deeper truths that foster lifelong change. Unlike outpatient programs, our comfortable inpatient rehab allows our patients to stay overnight for a designated period of time at our bayside facility in South Padre Island, Texas. We offer various lengths of stay, including shorter stabilization programming and long-term residential treatment for women. Hannah’s House strives to provide health care excellence through continuous quality improvement. We maintain state-level licensure and national accreditation for the treatment of addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. Sitting on a Zoom with Hannah Berner and Paige DeSorbo, I have to keep reminding myself that this is meant to be an active, three-way conversation, that I’m not just listening.
At Hannah’s House, we create a harmonious environment where women can explore the emotional, mental, physical, psychological, and spiritual dimensions of health in a safe space. Women are more likely to develop addiction and are more likely to experience hospitalization or death due to overdose, and they are less likely to admit that they need substance use or mental health treatment. Women are also more likely than men to use drugs to self-treat their mental health problems or cope with bodyweight changes, exhaustion, sleep issues, and pain.
